NEWS RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. — International Human Rights Advocates (IHRA) today filed a petition with the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (UNWGAD) on behalf of Alieu Sarr, Momarr Sowe, and Modou Lamin Bittaye, from the Republic of the Gambia, who have been detained, prosecuted, and subjected to torture and other ill-treatment, solely on the basis of their presumed sexual orientation or gender identity.
