WASHINGTON, D.C. — International Human Rights Advocates (IHRA) announced today that it will file a petition with the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (UNWGAD) on behalf of Hassan A. Kodi and Abdulmonem Abdumawla, from Sudan, who were recently sentenced to lengthy prison terms.

Amnesty International considers Hassan A. Kodi and Abdulmonem Abdumawla to be prisoners of conscience who have been jailed solely for the peaceful exercise of their rights to freedom of expression, association and religion.
