International Human Rights Advocates (IHRA) is a non-governmental, nonprofit organization, located in Washington, D.C., that provides legal support, lobbying assistance, and government relations services to individuals and human rights groups in the United States and abroad.
Our principal mission is to promote the cause of international human rights through strategic human rights-based litigation, and through effective congressional and executive branch advocacy.
IHRA currently has human rights cases pending before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the U.N. Working Group on Arbitrary Detention; asylum applications with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS); and a sanctions practice targeting human rights abusers and corrupt foreign officials worldwide under the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.
